In the year 2015, the municipality Kirchberg an der Pielach baught the station building Kirchberg. After that, we get the chance to move our model railroad to the station building. To built up a new railroad would be very time-consuming but there where also many pros: We could show our visitors a bigger railroad and we could present original Mariazell Railway vehicles outside. The idea “Bahn im Bahnhof” (“Railway in the railway station”) was born.

Neither the association nor the municipality could finanze the 350,000 € project alone. So we asked for support by ECO-Plus and the culture departement of Lower Austria. Fortunately we got the support. Now, the projcet is going to be finished in May 2019.
